Asceua shuangreni Lin & Li , sp. nov. ( Figs 72–73 View Figure 72 View Figure 73 , 84A–B View Figure 84 )
Etymology. The species is named after Mr. Shuangren Liu; noun (name) in genitive case.
Diagnosis. The male is similar to A. maculosa Logunov, 2010 by the wide and strongly membranous apophysis and conductor. However, the new species can be distinguished from A. maculosa by the bifurcated tip of the retrolateral tibial apophysis (vs. not bifurcated in A. maculosa ). The female can be distinguished from all congeners by the V-shaped rim of the copulatory openings.
Description. Male (holotype). Total length 2.09; carapace 1.07 long, 0.80 wide, opisthosoma 1.02 long, 0.73 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.06, PME 0.07, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.03, AME–ALE 0.03, PME–PME 0.05, PME–PLE 0.08, AME–PME 0.12, ALE–PLE 0.07. Leg measurements: I 2.81 (0.75, 0.93, 0.67, 0.46), II 2.18 (0.61, 0.66, 0.52, 0.39), III 2.38 (0.65, 0.70, 0.63, 0.40), IV 3.33 (0.85, 0.98, 0.98, 0.52).
Coloration ( Fig. 84A View Figure 84 ). Carapace brown. Chelicerae, endites and labium brown. Sternum yellow-brown. Legs paler yellow to yellow-brown with black setae. Opisthosoma oval, dark brown, dorsum with two pairs of pale oblong spots, second one largest, followed by two pale transverse bands, first one largest. Spinnerets yellow-brown.
Palp ( Fig. 72 View Figure 72 ). Patella almost as long as tibia. Tibia with two apophyses; ventral tibial apophysis bifurcate, all rami thumb-shaped; retrolateral tibial apophysis bifurcate, ventral ramus longer and digitiform, dorsal ramus shorter and dentiform. Cymbium with large retrolateral bend, larger than bulb length, bulb almost 1.5 times longer than wide. Tegulum almost round. Tegular apophysis with two lateral processes. Conductor membranous, bent, originating dorsally on bulb, with slightly widened tip. Embolus slender and whiplike, distal portion crosses over conductor in retrolateral view. Base of embolus large, with large membranous prolateral part, arising at clock 5:00 position.
Female (IZCAS-Ar44038). Total length 2.59; carapace 1.12 long, 0.91 wide, opisthosoma 1.38 long, 0.89 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.05, ALE 0.06, PME 0.07, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.02, AME–ALE 0.04, PME–PME 0.07, PME–PLE 0.10, AME–PME 0.14, ALE–PLE 0.09. Leg measurements: I 2.83 (0.78, 0.89, 0.65, 0.51), II 2.39 (0.67, 0.79, 0.52, 0.41), III 2.45 (0.67, 0.76, 0.62, 0.40), IV 3.33 (0.89, 0.94, 0.91, 0.59).
Coloration ( Fig. 84B View Figure 84 ). Similar to that of male except paler.
Epigyne ( Fig. 73 View Figure 73 ). Epigynal plate about 1.6 times wider than long. Copulatory openings located on anterior portion of epigyne, with V-shaped rim. Copulatory ducts intertwined. Spermathecae tubular, almost as wide as copulatory ducts. Fertilization ducts directed at clock 2:00 position from spermathecae.
Material examined. Holotype ♂ (IZCAS-Ar44018), Vietnam: Ninh Binh, Cuc Phuong NP, Natural Forest , Sieving
(20.3428°N, 105.6004°E, elev. 408 m), 8 October 2007, Dinh-Sac Pham leg. Paratypes. 10♂ 10♀ (IZCAS-Ar44019–
