Type Locality: Ethiopia, Bak Prov., "Arusi plateau of Gallaland, in the Sahatu Mountains, and south-east of Lake Zwei [Zwai], at an estimated height of 9000 feet [2,700 m] above sea level".
Vernacular Names: Mountain Nyala.
Distribution: Ethiopia, east of Rift Valley.
Conservation: IUCN – Endangered.
