A valid species, Tenthredo (Eurogaster) rugiceps Konow, 1908 .

Types. Tenthredo rugiceps Konow, 1908: 24 . Syntypes ♀, “ Sikkim ”. Lectotype ♀, hereby designated (MNCN_ Ent 100237, MNCN Cat. Tipos Nº 8144, Fig. 35 View FIGURE 35 , see also http://dx.doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.769215). Type locality: India, Sikkim. Paralectotypes: 1 ♀ MNCN _ Ent 100238, MNCN Cat. Tipos Nº 8144 (http://dx.doi.org/ 10.6084/m9.figshare.769218), 1 ♀ SDEI (http://dx.doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.769219), both “ Sikkim ” .

Discussion. Saini (2007: 141) erroneously claimed that the holotype ♀ and a ♀ paratype is in the SDEI. The species belong to the subgenus Eurogaster Zirngiebl, 1953 .
