DISTRIBUTION: Arid areas of N Africa from Morocco to Somalia; Egypt; Sinai; Arabia; Iran; parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

STATUS: IUCN - Insufficiently known.

SYNONYMS: caesia Thomas, 1921; cirenaica Festa, 1921; famelicus Cretzschmar, 1826; sabaea Pocock, 1934; somaliae Thomas, 1918; zarudnyi Birula, 1912.
