TYPE LOCALITY: "environs de Rangoun " ( Burma) .

DISTRIBUTION: Nepal through India (Assam) and most of Indochina, including peninsular Thailand and Malaysia.

SYNONYMS: laotum Thomas, 1922; nipalensis Hodgson, 1836 ; orientalis Blanford, 1888 ; pierrei Bonhote, 1903 ; tonquinia Thomas, 1922 .
