TYPE LOCALITY: "L'lle de Java ". Locality is in error, fixed by Robinson and Kloss (1919b) as " West Sumatra " [ Indonesia] .
DISTRIBUTION: Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra, Java, Borneo).
SYNONYMS: leucocephalus Gray, 1865 .
COMMENTS: Pocock (1941a) believed strigidorsa and nudipes to be closely related. Youngman (1982) placed nudipes in the subgenus Lutreola .
