TYPE LOCALITY: "South America". This is clearly in error and Hollister (1915) fixed the type locality as " Cape of Good Hope". [ South Africa] .
DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to SE Egypt and Ethiopia, south to South Africa, including: Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
