Type material. Holotype ( ZISP 2177 ) and 10 paratypes ( ZISP 2178 ). Type locality. South China Sea, off South Vietnam, Nhatrang Bay , Nok Island , 0 m. Material examined. South China Sea , Hainan Island , stn. 3, 20°09’36’’N, 110°41′17’’E, intertidal, on stones,

6 spms, BL 4.0–7.0 mm, 13.11.2016, leg. B. Sirenko; stn. 5, 19°38’12’’N, 111°01′52’’E, intertidal, on stones, 3 spms, BL 3.0–4.0 mm, 14.11.2016, leg. B. Sirenko; stn. 13, 18°12’09’’N, 109°29′40’’E, depth 2–3 m, on old corals, 2 spms, BL 4.0 mm, 19.11.2016, leg. B. Distribution. Vietnam from the Gulf of Thailand to Danang, China, Hainan Island, mainly intertidal to 3 m depth.

Remarks. This is one of the abundant species of the intertidal zone which is difficult to find because of its small size and the rich fouling on the valves.
