Synonyms in the area: Sertularella argentinica El Beshbeeshy, 1991 nomen nudum [polyp]. Remarks: the name Sertularella argentinica El Beshbeeshy, 1991 is a nomen nudum because it was first proposed in an unpublished dissertation (El Beshbeeshy 1991, 2011). Recently, this name was made available by El Beshbeeshy (2011) (see article 50.1 of ICZN 1999).
Distribution in South America: polyp—Pacific Ocean, Chile, from 43°S to 44°S (Galea 2007 p. 59–60; Galea et al. 2009a p. 338); Atlantic Ocean, Argentina, from 40°S to 43°S (El Beshbeeshy 1991, 2011). Habitat: polyp—from 10 to 15m and from 30 to 1200m, on hard substrates (El Beshbeeshy 1991, 2011; Galea 2007 p. 59–60; Galea et al. 2009a p. 338).
