Phacellophora camtschatica Brandt, 1838

Distribution in South America: medusa—Pacific Ocean, Peru, from 5.07°S 81.17°W to 8.45°S 78.61°W (specimens collected in this study), Chile, from 18ºS to 43ºS (Kramp 1952, 1968; Fagetti 1973); Atlantic Ocean, Argentina, from 35ºS to 54ºS (Mianzan & Cornelius 1999).

Habitat: near surface, mostly neritic (Kramp 1961).
