Type host: Mimus polyglottos (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Mimidae ). Type locality: USA (Georgia).

Hosts and distribution. Mimus patagonicus (Lafresnaye & Orbigny) (Mimidae) from South America (unknown locality in Patagonia—area of Argentina and Chile) ( Sikora et al. 2011), M. polyglottos (Linnaeus) from USA ( Georgia) ( Kethley 1970), M. triurus (Vieillot) from Argentina ( Sikora et al. 2011).
