Genus Aphonoides Chopard,1940
Typespecies: Gryllus punctatus Haan 1844: 232
Remarks. Three species of this genus were previously recorded from China: (1) Aphonoides wuyiensis Yin & Zhang, 2001 distributed in Fujian Province, armed with brown band above eyes; (2) Aphonoides punctatus ( Haan, 1844) distributed in provinces of Jiangxi and Guizhou, not bearing brown band above eyes; (3) Aphonoides tessellatus Chopard, 1969 distributed in Hunan Province, its body is short and tegmina is equal to the length of hindwings. Here, we found two species, Aphonoides curvto sp. nov. and Aphonoides aspidoid sp. nov., new to science, and two species, Aphonoides rufescens Ichikawa, 2001 and Aphonoides medvedevi medvedevi Gorochov, 1985 , newly recorded for China.
