FIGURE10. Bodies of A. rufescens . A. male; B. female. Scale bar: 10 mm.
Description.Male: Body size medium for the genus. Head as wide as pronotum. Occiput slightly convex. Vertex broad and flattened. Frontal rostrum slightly wider than antennal scape; and slightly convex in front view, inclined dorsally, densely pubescent ventrally apically. Median ocellus smallest, ovoid; lateral ocellus transversely ovoid. Clypeus and labrum shiny, clypeus somewhat convex centrally; labrum proximally convex at middle. End section of maxillary palpi almost equal to length of the third; labial palpi short, end section of labial palpi equal to the total length of remainder sections.
Pronotum broad and flattened, anterior margin straight and the posterior convex, and middle of posterior margin angularly convex; lateral lobes bearing bottom margin semicircle-like; median groove of pronotal disc distinct. Longitudinal veins of tegmina paralleled.
Inner tympanum large, shaped as elongate oval; outer tympanum absent. Hind tibiae evenly distributed with spines and armed with spurs distally (numbered 5:4); outer apical spurs two (equal in length) and the inner apical spurs three (the dorsal one longest, two times longer than the longest, ventral one shortest).
FIGURE11. Genitalia of A. rufescens . A. dorsal view; B. lateral view; C. ventral view; D. inside of male genitalia, lateral view.
Genitalia. Lateral lobes of epiphallus triangular in dorsal view. Median lobes of epiphallus rather short, leaflike, acute proximally and expanded apically (Fig. 11D). Ectoparamere proximally rod-like; apically huge, shaped as baseball glove, with anterior side curved outward. Ectoparamere apically bifurcated in lateral view (Fig.11B), anterior branch short and narrowed; caudal branch about two times longer than the anterior, included angle between anterior and the caudal form a right angle, shaped as "high heel".
Coloration. Body yellowish brown. Head and pronotum densely ornamented with dark brown spots. Eyes light brown. Antennae scape yellowish brown. Middle clypeus yellowish. Base of labrum yellowish brown with apex dark brown.
Female. Resembles male. Slightly darker than male. Ovipositor smooth, arrow-shaped and slightly longer than the length of the posterior femur.
Remarks. Ichikawa (2001) established this species from Japan. Our specimens when compared with what is recorded in literature, we conclude that this species is also distributed in China (Hainan Province). This species resembles A. medvedevi medvedevi Gorochov, 2007 based on genitalia, but the epiphallic lateral lobes are slightly shorter than those of A. medvedevi medvedevi , and anterior branch of ectoparamere of this species is narrower than the hind.
