Description.Male: Body size small for the genus. Head wider than the anterior of pronotum, narrower than the posterior. Vertex broad and flattened. Frontal rostrum slightly convex in front view, inclined dorsally, densely pubescent ventrally and apically. Median ocellus smallest of the three, ovoid; lateral ocellus transversely ovoid. Clypeus and labrum shiny, postclypeus shaped as narrow band; anteclypeus shaped as broad shield; labrum proximally convex at middle and depressed laterally. End section of maxillary palpi almost equal to the length of the third; labial palpi short, end section of labial palpi equal to the total length of remainder sections.
Pronotum broad and flattened, anterior margin straight and middle of posterior margin angularly convex, lateral lobes bearing bottom margin semicircle-like; median groove of pronotal disc distinct. Longitudinal veins of tegmina paralleled. Hindwings longer than tegmina, uncovered portion slightly shorter than hind femur.
Inner tympanum shaped as elongate oval; outer tympanum absent. Hind tibiae evenly distributed with spines, armed with spurs distally (numbered 5:4); outer apical spurs two (equal in length) and inner apical spurs three (and the dorsal one longest, two times longer than the longest; ventral one shortest).
Genitalia. Lateral lobes of epiphallus triangular in dorsal view. Median lobes of epiphallus rather short, leaflike, acute proximally and expanded apically. In ventral view, ectoparamere proximally rod-like, apically expanded, shaped as baseball glove and anterior side curved outward; in lateral view, it apically bifurcated, anterior branch short and broad, caudal branch about two times longer than the anterior, included angle between these branches form an acute angle, shaped "high heel" (Fig. 13B).
Coloration. Body colored brown. Eyes yellowish brown; frontal rostrum brown; clypeus and labrum yellowish. Pronotum yellowish brown. Leg brown; hind tibiae apically dark brown. Tegmina dark brown.
Female unknown.
Remarks. This species resembles to A. rufescens Ichikawa, 2001 in size and shape, but the epiphallus and anterior branch of ectoparamere are different. Lateral lobes of epiphallus of this species is apically acute when viewed laterally, but that of A. rufescens is obtuse, besides, the anterior branch of ectoparamere of this species is wider than found in A. rufescens .
