The characters are applicable to both sexes unless the sex is specified. The characters are taken from the description of the species following Giordani Soika (1960) and van der Vecht (1963) except for a male of P. indosinensis from China.

1. Tergum II with a very short, slightly raised apical lamella or without apical lamella, tergum III without apical lamella..... 2

- Terga II and III with well-developed apical lamellae...........................................................4

2. Tergum I with strongly developed longitudinal striation on dorsal part, with a median carina and flanked on each side by several distinct carinae....................................................................................... 3

- Tergum I with poorly developed longitudinal striation on dorsal part, with a median carina and flanked on each side by a few rows of very elongate punctures, separated by incomplete and irregular carinae............. P. orientalis ( Gribodo, 1892) View in CoL

3. Metasomal segment I long, in dorsal view equal to or greater than 1.9 × as long as wide at apical margin. Fovea on female vertex shallow. Propodeum with apical teeth forming a sharp angle. Male, apical margin of terga II and III without depression................................................................................. P. gracilis van der Vecht, 1963 View in CoL

- Metasomal segment I shorter, in dorsal view less than 1.7 × as long as wide at apical margin. Fovea on female vertex deeper. Propodeum with apical teeth nearly rectangular. Male, apical margin of terga II and III distinctly depressed at base and slightly raised....................................................................... P. indica (de Saussure, 1855) View in CoL .

4. Male, apical margin of tergum IV not raised or slightly raised, and without lamella................................. 5

- Male, apical margin of tergum IV raised and with developed lamella................. P. indosinensis Giordani Soika, 1960 View in CoL

5. Scutellum with dense punctures. Head, thorax and metasoma covered with very dense brownish-black setae.................................................................................... P. viridipennis Giordani Soika, 1960 View in CoL .
