Peters (CCAP strain no. 1330/2) (PC-0074126).

Current name: Pylaiella littoralis (L.) Kjellm. ( Acinetosporaceae ).

Note: See discussion by Setchell & Gardner (in Univ. Calif. Publ. Bot. 8: 403. 1925), Waern (in Acta Phytogeogr. Suecica 30: 110. 1952), Dixon & Russell (in Bot. Notiser 117: 283. 1964), and Drouet (in Acad. Nat. Sci. Philadelphia Monogr. 15: 311. 1968) who treated material in Herb. Dillenius as the type. However, this was not seen by Linnaeus and is not original material for the name.
