Local synonymy: New record for Taiwan.
Taiwan voucher material: (2 spec.) ASIZP 57958, 164 mm TL, 182 mm TL, Nan-fang-ao, 1 Jul 1993 .
Remarks: This rare coastal catshark is reported for the first time from Taiwanese waters.
Conservation status: Data Deficient.
