Dissomphalus subdeformis Azevedo, 1999a: 356 , 360–361, 382, 391 (♂ holotype from Venezuela, USNM, figs 122–123, 203).

Diagnosis. Mandible tridentate. Clypeus tridentate. Tergal process with large and deep depression with pair of elliptical lateral tuft of setae directed slightly each other. Hypopygium with posterior margin slightly concave. Genitalia: paramere slightly arched inward; aedeagal ventral ramus shorter than aedeagal dorsal body, wide, narrowing slightly apicad; inner margin diverging and outer margin convergent; aedeagal dorsal body with two pairs of apical lobes; outer lobe wide, with apex rounded, dorsal margin much produced inward; inner lobe setose and serrated. Apodeme extending beyond genital ring.

Remarks. No additional material of this species was not found in this study.

Material examined. Holotype, ♂, VENEZUELA, Barinas: Rio Caparo, Research Sta., 32 Km E, El Cornern , seasonal forest, light trap black, 3–5.ii.1978, J.B. Heppener col. ( USNM).

Distribution ( Fig. 242 View FIGURES 234 – 243 ). Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Curação, Venezuela, Trinidad & Tobago and Surinam.
