Distribution in PILA 1000–2500 m, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest, mixed forest in transition to cloud forest, cloud forest, low elevation oak forest. Global distribution: Mexico to Venezuela, Lesser Antilles. Records: G. Davidse 25101 (CR, MO), G. Davidse 28678 (CR), G. Davidse 28678 (MO).
