NHMUK 1975407, lectotype; 1975408, two paralectotypes (Cuming coll.).

Remarks.

This taxon is regarded as a questionable variety of Bulimulus corneous (Sowerby I, 1833) by Martens (1893 [1890-1901]: 247) and Pilsbry (1897 [1897-1898]: 56. The exact type locality remains unknown. For the current systematic position we prefer, therefore, to follow Richardson (1995: 68) who treated Pfeiffer’s taxon as a subjective junior synonym of Sowerby’s species.
