Distribution: Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Brazil (PA, RJ, new rec.), Bolivia. Remarks: The lack of abundant, coarse punctures on the impressed line and on the lateral surface of the pronotum, head and scutellum ( Fig. 9A View FIGURE 9 ) separates this species from E. rugoscutum ( Fig. 9B View FIGURE 9 ).
