Notes. Müller (1954: 308) writes that this specimen “… unquestionably belongs to the group of East African Tribalus species related to [ T.] fastigiatus Marseul and probably stands close to [ T.] impressibasis Bickhardt from the Erer Valley in NE Abyssinia”, of which he could previously examine the type deposited in the collections of the Museum of Budapest. In his opinion, the specimen from Yemen “… agrees with [ T.] impressibasis in all fundamental characters, except for the pronotal puncturation stronger and closer” (original text in German) .
