Basionym: ― Salsola procera Botsch. View in CoL in Botanicheskii Zhurnal 66(7): 1039 (1981).

Type : ― SOUTH-WEST AFRICA [ NAMIBIA ]. Unjab Mouth (2013 BC): flaches Riverbett östlich Passhöhe , Bergpass 36 km östlich Torra Baai, 17 April 1964, Giess 8040 (holotype M-0107414!; isotypes LE-00011907!, PRE-0083090-0!, WIND!) .

Distribution: ― Namibia : Sperrgebiet, Namib Desert (Omaruru, Outjo and Swakopmund districts).
