Distribution: SC and SW Western Australia, S Northern Territory.
Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered; IUCN – Extinct; probably extinct.
Discussion: Extinct throughout most or all of its former range. McAllan and Bruce (1989) argued that the original publication of this name was in The Athenaeum, 670:685 [29 August 1840].
