Basionym of: Pterocarpus ecastaphyllum (L.) L. (1774) .

Lectotype (Fawcett & Rendle, Fl. Jamaica 4: 78. 1920): Browne, Herb. Linn. No. 887.4 ( LINN) .

Current name: Dalbergia ecastaphyllum (L.) Taub. ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: There are evidently differences between Linnaeus’ original (1759) account, and that in Sp. Pl., ed. 2, 2: 1052 (1763) - see Carvalho (in Brittonia 49: 107. 1997).
