Euplusia simillima Moure & Michener View in CoL , in Moure 1965: 275 (Holotype: SEMC; male, Mexico: Chihuahua, Maguarichi); Kimsey, 1982: 38 (synonym with coerulescens View in CoL ).

New records. 1 male, USA, Texas, Culberson County: Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Pine Springs, N31.8955 W104.8271, 20 Jul 2010, J.D. Herndon, A. Druk, H. Ikerd, pantrap, GUMO27853; 1 male, USA, New Mexico, Eddy County: Longview Spring, 0.7km E, N32.1007 W104.6317, 1551m, 22 Jul 2010, J.D. Herndon, Cirsium View in CoL sp., CAVE20415. Both specimens are housed in the U.S. National Pollinating Insects Collection, Logan, Utah, USA, on indefinite loan from the National Park Service.
