Protologue information:—Area: Asia Minor. Habitat in alpinis, solo calcareo. In Libano, ad Bscherre et circa Cedretum; ad Cedreti aquaeductus, alt. 5800 ped. 30. VII. 1855, Kotschy No. 345, Lydia: in regione alpina mt. Sipyli, 1200 m s. m. 1906, Bornmüller No. 10124.

Nomenclature:— Deyl (1946: 104) validated the name Sesleria anatolica with a diagnosis, reporting the provenance and habitat. Specimens collected by C. Kotschy and J. F. N. Bornmüller were listed in the protologue and are syntypes. We found five specimens, four at W and one at ERE, that are part of the original material. Three of these represent a single gathering and were collected by C. Kotschy (no. 345), and the other two represent a gathering by J. F. N. Bornmüller (no. 10124). All the plants mounted on these sheets match Deyl’s diagnosis. We here designate specimen W–0030326, collected by Kotschy, as the lectotype of the name Sesleria anatolica . The other Kotschy specimens, preserved at W and ERE, are isolectotypes. An annotation on the lectotype indicates that there are also duplicates of this collection at HUB and MO, but we were unable to find these specimens. They are also isolectotypes, if they exist.

Taxonomy:— The name Sesleria anatolica is considered a synonym of S. alba ( Valdés & Scholz 2009, Clayton et al. 2016).
