Stenonemobius gracilis (Jakovlev, 1871)
Recorded for the first time from Ghadira in 1993 by one of the authors [LFC] and subsequently taken from other localities in both Malta and Gozo (Cassar 2008), on each occasion, from within or in close proximity to sand dune or mesic habitats. It is often attracted to artificial light.
Distribution. Mediterranean, extending eastwards into the Middle Eastern and parts of the Eastern Palaearctic regions.
Trigonidium cicindeloides Rambur, 1838
Common within a broad range of hydric and mesic environments where herbaceous shrubbery is dominant.
Distribution. A widespread, patchy distribution, extending from the Mediterranean segment of the Western Palaearctic, eastward to the Middle Eastern and Oriental regions, as well as parts of the Eastern Palaearctic and Afrotropical regions, including Madagascar.
