Diagnosis. Eudonia lacustrata ( Panzer, 1804) is similar to E. truncicolella ( Stainton, 1849) in the female genitalia by the ducutus bursae with two loops, and the appendix bursae arising from the anteromedian portion of the corpus bursae. It can be distinguished by the valva with a small ventroapical protuberance in the male genitalia and the stripelike signum in the female genitalia. In E. truncicolella , the valva does not bear any protuberance and the signum is ovate. This species also resembles E. mercurella ( Linnaeus, 1758) , and the differences between the two species are stated under the latter.
Distribution. China (Hunan), Iran, Syria, Asia Minor, Europe, Africa.
Remarks. Eudonia lacustrata was recorded to occur in China by Caradja & Meyrick (1935) and Klima (1937). We have not collected this species in China to date.
