TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype IMT 79-6 [not seen], figured by Kosuge & Suzuki (1985, pl. 11, fig. 1, pl. 33, fig. 5), “transferred to the collection of Mr Masaji Suzuki” ( Kosuge 1992).

TYPE LOCALITY. — Off Mactan , Cebu, Philippines, about 100 m.

DISTRIBUTION. — Known previously only from the Philippines. Now extended southwards to New Caledonia, Norfolk Ridge, Loyalty Ridge, Vanuatu and Tonga, empy shells in 200-361 m.

REMARKS. — Protoconch of 3 whorls, eroded showing only traces of the sculpture of 2 spiral keels and axial threads seemingly fusing into collabral ribs.
