TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype IMT 79-3 View Materials [not seen], figured by Kosuge & Suzuki (1985: pl. 19, fig. 8), “transferred to
the collection of Mr Masaji Suzuki” ( Kosuge 1992).
TYPE LOCALITY. — Off Mactan, Cebu, Philippines .
MATERIAL EXAMINED. — Philippines. Cebu and Panglao , Bohol, tangle net, 180-200 m, many lv and dd ( MO, obtained from dealer). Norfolk Ridge. SMIB 3: stn DW 8, 24°45’S, 168°08’E, 233 m, 3 dd (Fig. 95); stn DW 10, 24°42’S, 168°07’E, 235 m, 1 dd GoogleMaps .
DISTRIBUTION. — West Pacific , previously known only from the Philippines. Now extended to Norfolk Ridge, empty shells in 233-235 m.
REMARKS. — The protoconch of topotypic specimens from the Philippines is multispiral, with 3 whorls.
