TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype ZMB 103.967 View Materials .
TYPE LOCALITY. — Uncertain : “ China?” [no locality given on label of the holotype] .
MATERIAL EXAMINED. — New Caledonia proper. LAGON: stn 269, Secteur Nouméa , 22°18’S, 166°18’E, 20 m, 1 dd (Fig. 125). Loyalty Islands. Lifou. LIFOU 2000: stn 1447, Baie du Santal, 20°45.8’S, 167°01.65’E, 17-31 m, 2 lv (Fig. 126) GoogleMaps .
DISTRIBUTION. — Pacific Ocean: Kii Peninsula , Japan, “intertidal to 20 m, in base of soft corals” (Higo et al. 1999: 221). From New Caledonia and Loyalty Islands, empty shells in 20 m, live in 17-31 m.
REMARKS. — The specimens are here ascribed to R. incurva on the basis of their finer spiral sculpture (compared with R. rapa – see above) and lack of any spiral cord.
