Current name: Silene noctiflora L. View in CoL ( Caryophyllaceae ).

Note: Melzheimer (in Rechinger, Fl. Iranica 163: 474. 1988) indicated unspecified material in LINN as the type. However, the only material associated with this name, 583.36 (LINN), lacks a Species Plantarum number (i.e. “15”), is a post-1753 addition to the herbarium, and is not original material for the name.
