Botanophila View in CoL nov.sp.
Stmk: Eisenerzer Reichenstein, 2130m, 47.50N / 14.93E, 2.7.18.
Verner Michelsen schreibt zu dieser Art folgendes: "I know this high altitude Botanophila from Norway, Spain (Pyrenees), and Czech R. (Tatra Mts). Michael Ackland has further seen it from Italy and Mongolia. I also consider Hennig’s Pegohylemyia sp. nr. obscura from Kyrgyzstan is the same species. It is possibly not yet formally named and described, but to be sure this requires a detailed study of the extensive literature on Chinese Anthomyiidae . Further, it belongs to a difficult species group within Botanophila (the B. moriens -species group) with several undescribed Palearctic species."
