Notonyx A. Milne-Edwards, 1873 View in CoL
Remarks. Clark & Ng (2005: 540) and Castro (2007: 754) have discussed the systematics of the genus in some detail. Its placement in the Goneplacidae sensu stricto (sensu Ng & Manuel-Santos 2007; Castro 2007) is not in question. As has been elaborated by Castro (2007: 754), the thoracic sternal condition is of the typical goneplacine type, i.e. the median sulcus on sternite 4 is absent; the sutures between sternites 4/5, 5/6 and 7/8 are interrupted medially; with that between sternites 6/7 complete.
