Distribution in Iran. Guilan ( Ghahari et al. 2012c), Markazi (Ghahari et al. 2011a).

Distribution outside Iran. Armenia, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, former Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012).

Host records. Aporia crataegi , Abraxas grossulariata , Cyclophora punctaria , Earophila badiata , Eupithecia pimpinellata, Operophthera brumata , Pieris brassicae , Vanessa atalanta ( Shenefelt 1972; Yu et al. 2012). In former Czechoslovakia, it has been reported from Campaea margaritata , Cyclophora punctaria , C. ruficiliaria ( Capek 1972; Yu et al. 2012), in England from Erannis defoliaria , Operophtera brumata , Eupithesia dodoneata ( Nixon 1974; Yu et al. 2012). Also, the following hosts have reported by Tobias (1986) and Yu et al. (2012): Acrolyta marginata , Agasthenes varitarsus , Alsophila aceraria , Anthonomus pomorum , Cyclophora linearia , Epirrita autumnata , Gelis aerator , Lysibia nana , Operophtera fagata , Stenoptilia veronicae . It was also reported from Phigalia pilosaria .
