USA (FL, CA), Mexico to Panama, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay; introduced to Marquesas, Tahiti; widespread New World. Notes. Adults are found commonly under loose bark of various trees, especially Bursera simaruba (L.) Sarg. Daltry 2009: 69 lists two species, undetermined to genus, from St. Lucia.
