Chinese name: ḢÑḧ瓢•

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. seboshii ( Ohta, 1929) in the characters of male genitalia, but can be distinguished from the later by the elytra entirely yellow, and the parameres about 1/3 as long as penis guide ( Figs 21a–b, 21g View FIGURE 21 ). In S. seboshii , elytra are black with yellow apices and humeral angles, and a large yellowish brown spot presenting in the middle part, parameres are about 2/5 as long as penis guide ( Figs 34a–b, 34g View FIGURE 34 )

Description. TL: 1.55–2.08 mm, TW: 1.23–1.50 mm, TH: 0.85–1.01 mm.

Body oval, moderately convex, surfaces covered with short pubescence ( Figs 21a–c View FIGURE 21 ). Body uniformly yellow, except ventral surfaces yellow to black. Interocular distance distinctly greater than eye width in frontal view. Abdominal postcoxal lines incomplete, not recurved toward the base of ventrite ( Fig. 21d View FIGURE 21 ).

Male genitalia: Penis stout, penis capsule with stout outer arm and long inner one, apex of penis constricted with membranous appendage ( Figs 21e–f View FIGURE 21 ). Penis guide with prominent keel at base in lateral view, then tapering towards pointed apex; parameres about 1/3 as long as penis guide, with a tuft of long setae at apex; penis guide widest at base in ventral view, apex with a small protuberance ( Figs 21g –h View FIGURE 21 ).

Female genitalia: Coxites elongate, triangular; styli well developed with terminal setae; spermatheca distinctly curved, with basal ramus and elongate nodulus.

Type material. Holotype: China: Xizang: ♂, Hanmi , Muotuo County, 800–2100 m, 5–8.X.2011, Huo LZ leg ( SCAU) . Paratypes ( SCAU): China: Xizang: 2♂ 1♀, Same data as holotype . 1♂ 1♀, Yarang Village , Muotuo County, 768–1030 m, 24.X.2007, Wang XM leg ; 1♀, Houshan , Muotuo County, 1200 m, 28.X.2007, Wang XM leg ; 1♂, Hanmi , Muotuo County, 2100 m, 13.X.2009, Wang XM leg ; 1♀, Yihaoqiao, Hanmi , Muotuo County, 14.X.2009, Wang XM leg.

Distribution. China (Xizang).

Etymology. The specific epithet aureus derives from the Latin word “aureus” and refers to the aureate pronotum and elytra.
