Sasajiscymnus disselasmatus ( Pang & Huang, 1986)

( Figs 44 View FIGURE 44 , 67 View FIGURE 67 )

Chinese name: RṘḧ瓢•

Pseudoscymnus disselasmatus Pang & Huang, 1986: 65 (type locality: Nanjing, Fujian, China).— Yu 1995b: 146; Pang et al. 2004: 87; Kovář 2007: 582.

Sasajiscymnus disselasmatus: Iqbal et al. 2020: 383 .

Diagnosis. This species is closely similar to S. sagittalis sp. nov., but can be distinguished from the later by the black scutellar shield and the apex of penis with distinct membranous appendage on inner side ( Figs 44a, 44g View FIGURE 44 ). In S. sagittalis, Scutellar shield is yellowish brown and the apex of penis is conspicuously swollen with membranous appendage on both sides ( Figs 41a, 41f View FIGURE 41 ).

Description. TL: 1.68–2.26 mm, TW: 1.23–1.66 mm, TH: 0.68–0.86 mm.

Body oval, moderately convex, surfaces covered with short pubescence ( Figs 44a–c View FIGURE 44 ). Head yellow with interocular distance distinctly greater than eye width in frontal view. Pronotum yellow. Scutellar shield black. Elytra black with yellow apices. Ventral surfaces yellow to black. Legs yellow. Abdominal postcoxal lines incomplete, slightly recurved toward the base of ventrite ( Fig. 44e View FIGURE 44 ).

Male genitalia: Penis stout, penis capsule with stout outer arm and long inner one, apex of penis with distinct membranous appendage (Figs 44f–g). Penis guide with prominent keel at base in lateral view, then tapering towards apex; parameres about 2/3 as long as penis guide, with a tuft of long setae at apex; penis guide widest at base in ventral view, then gradually narrowing to blunt apex ( Figs 44g –h View FIGURE 44 ).

Female genitalia: Unknow.

Material examined. Holotype: China: Fujian: ♂, Nanjing County, 7.III.1980, Liu SJ leg ( SCAU) . Other material ( SCAU). China: Guangdong: 1♂, Shixing County, 8.VII.1989, Pang XF leg ; 1♂, Yangqiu Mountains, Shimentai National Nature Reserve , 6.X.2004, Wang XM leg ; 1♂, Shimen, Shimentai National Nature Reserve , 29.X.2004, Wang XM leg.

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangdong).

Remarks. Yu et al. (1993) reported S. disselasmatus from Chebaling National Nature Reserve. Compared with the holotype, specimen examined by Yu et al. (1993) has penis guide widest near the base and not expanded penis apex, hence we considered it as a misidentification of S. lancetapicalis .
