Nusasyntrophus virescens (Heller) , stat. n., comb. n.

Heteroglymma echinatus virescens Heller, 1914: 305 . Type locality: Bali, Mt. Bratan .

Description. Lectotype ( Fig. 25a View FIGURE 25 ). Length. Pronotum plus elytron 4.78 mm. Integument black, largely covered with appressed, green scales. Head with fine transverse angulate furrow separating rostral base, leading ventrad in front of eye; vertex with radial furrows laterally distinct, covered by scaling. Eyes conically protruding. Rostrum 1.39 X longer than wide, sides subparallel; apical declivity with sunk-in scales, with sparse erect setae; dorsum with indistinct median costa. Pronotum 1.19 X longer than wide; with coarse punctures largely obscured by dense coverage of greenish polygoniform scales; with interspersed suberect claviform scales; with indistinct subglabrous median costa. Elytra 1.29 X as long as wide; densely covered with greenish polygoniform scales; intervals with interspersed erect brownish scales, longer than interval´s width. Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 25b View FIGURE 25 ) with sides of body subparallel, converging to rounded apex. Apodeme 1.87 X as long as body of penis. Transfer apparatus curved. Intraspecific variation. Length. Pronotum plus elytron 4.60–5.75 mm. Female with elytra more roundish; interval 6 with small tubercle adorned with few erect yellowish scales.

Material examined. Type specimens. Male, lectotype by present designation: INDONESIA, C-Bali, Gn. Bratan, leg. E. Stresemann; labels ( Fig. 25c View FIGURE 25 ); genitalia in glycerol in microtube; DNA extraction ARC4029 View Materials ( GenBank # OR557444) ( SMTD) . Paralectotypes: 3 exx, DNA extraction ARC4028 View Materials (not sequenced) , same data as lectotype ( SMTD). Other material examined: INDONESIA: 3 exx, S-Bali, leg. E. Stresemann ( SMTD); C-Bali: 1 ex, ARC3539 View Materials ( GenBank # LN866358) , Bedugul, Gn. Pohen (= Gn. Tapak = Gn.Keramat), S08° 16.6´E115° 08.9´, 1300–1500 m, 01-XI-2007 ( SMNK) GoogleMaps .

Notes. Heller (1914) based the original description on an unknown number of specimens without designating a holotype. Four specimens fitting his description were found at SMTD. A lectotype is designated to ensure stability of nomenclature. Besides the green vestiture this species is morphologically very similar to N. echinatus (Heller) from Lombok. However, the p-distance of their cox1 sequences is 14.5% lending sufficient support to its full species status .
