Bonthaina nodifera (Voss) , comb. n.

Phraotes nodifer Voss 1940: 282–284 . Type locality: SW Sulawesi, Mt. Lompobatang .

Description. ( Fig. 10a ). Length. Pronotum plus elytron 4.72 mm. Integument black; with sparse appressed yellowish transparent scales. Head with sulcus separating rostral base curved; vertex with radial furrows deeply entrenched. Eyes asymmetrically convex, drawn posteriad. Rostrum shorter than wide (0.70 X), sides slightly converging; enlarged apical declivity subglabrous, contrasting rugose sculpture of head. Pronotum 1.09 X wider than long; coarsely punctate-nodulose. Elytra subglobose 1.16 X as long as wide; tuberculate; tubercles nodulose, with sparse erect scales. Genitalia. ( Fig. 10b ).

Material examined. INDONESIA, S-Sulawesi: 1 female: Mt. Lompobatang , Malino, 1800 m, E 119° 53.517´S 05° 17.833´, 13-14-VII-2001; genitalia in glycerol in microtube; DNA extraction ARC7254 (GenBank # OR557455) ( SMNS).

Notes. The type specimens could neither be located at the Zoological Museum Bogor (Cibinong, Indonesia) and the Naturalis Biodiversity Center (Leyden, Netherlands), the two most likely depositories. However, a single female specimen from the type locality can be assigned with high confidence to this species .
