Aleuropleurocelus ornatus Drews & Sampson, 1958: 121 . Syntype puparia. USA: California, Orange County, Silverado Canyon , 19.xi.1953, E.A. Drews, on Eriodictyon trichocalyx ; current location of type not known at this time.

Distribution: Nearctic: USA (California). Host: Hydrophyllaceae : Eriodictyon trichocalyx var. trichocalyx .
