Arch. 1(1): 20. 1922. Type: Peru: in montanis Peruviae huanoccensibus , Haenke s.n. (syntypes: BR! [0000006865689], HAL! [HAL0107127], PR, PRC, US! [US-3099580 barcode 00406354 (fragm.)], W! [W18890241741, W-0009755). The protologue cites a gathering but not a specimen, thus there is no holotype or isotypes, despite the interpretations of some authors.
