Etymology:—The epithet refers to the habitat where the species was first found (Latin adj. collînus, -a, -um, i.e., growing on hills).
Distribution:—The species occurs in Albania, Bulgaria, northern Greece, southern Italy, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, southeastern Serbia, northwestern Turkey, and western Ukraine ( Dykes 1913, Stjepanović 1976, Beldie 1979, Webb & Chater 1980, Mathew 1989, Barina et al. 2018, Futorna et al. 2018, Güner 2022, PFI 2022).
