Lectotype (Howe in Bull. Torrey Bot. Club 39: 201. 1912; Wedin in Pl. Syst. Evol. 187: 229, f. 2. 1993): Herb. Linn. No. 1273.261, uppermost specimen ( LINN) .

Current name: Sphaerophorus fragilis (L.) Pers. View in CoL ( Sphaerophoraceae).
