Key to the Espírito Santo genera of Clivinematini
1 Body vestiture with hairs curved apically, forming dense woolly pilosity, or with exudation of wax, especially on females. Pronotum smooth or indistinctly punctate; anterior margin of pronotum usually extended hood-like over head as seen from side ( Figs. 9-B, C, C View FIGURE 9 1 View FIGURE 1 ), and not located well below level of the disc.......................................... - Body vestiture with hairs not curved apically and without exudation of wax. Disc of pronotum deeply and distinctly punctate; anterior margin of pronotum also extended hood-like over head as seen from side; body somewhat elliptical, shining; pronotum not sulcate longitudinally and middorsally.......................................................... Remarks. Ferreira (1996A) revised the Clivinematini tribe with descriptions of new genera, new synonyms, combinations, and changes in the status of the tribe (Ferreira 1996B). Ferreira (1998) published a cladistic analysis, geographic distribution, and biology of the tribe. Ferreira (2000) revised the taxonomy of the tribe, including the key to the genera in the world. Ferreira (2001) presented descriptions, diagnoses, and discussions of each genus, except for those described by Ferreira (1996A). Most clivinematines are supposed to prey on Sternorrhyncha species, particularly those in the Ortheziidae ( Ferreira et al. 2015) .
