Diagnosis: Notoplanidae with paired tentacular and cerebral eye clusters. Tentacles usually lacking. Gonopores separate. Male copulatory apparatus consists of a true seminal vesicle and an elongate or blunt conical penis papilla. Female apparatus with Lang’s vesicle. External vagina with tendency to a stronger muscle wall (vagina bulbosa).
