Diagnosis: Large, oval cirripedes, in which the wall is constructed of eight plates surrounded by imbricating whorls of solid smaller plates. All external surfaces of adult lateral plates, and the terga, display flat apical surfaces, where the young stages of the plates have spalled off. The operculum is of low profile, and a small upper latus is present between the scutum and tergum.
