Chorology.

Stenus wittmeri , described from Minudasht, Golestan ( Puthz 1972a: 123), is the easternmost representative of the Stenus ochropus - ludyi - coarcticollis species group in Iran. The species is endemic to the Hyrcanian forest belt of the eastern Elburz (Fig. 20 View Figures 19–24 ).
