Diagnosis: Robust (length up to 8 cm), dark-colored, apterous stick insects. Head unarmed, only slightly prognathous without gula, ocelli absent, antennae long. Pronotum longer than head with prominent anterolateral defensive gland openings. Mesonotum about as long as pronotum, with paired mesothoracic lobes. Metanotum slightly shorter than mesonotum. Tibiae with area apicalis and additional euplantular pad. Paraprocts entirely fused (unpaired). Females lacking ovipositor valves. Males with vomer on venter of abdominal segment 10.
